Este es el inicio de cincuenta años de relación de Angelina Lamelas (la española que mejor escribe cuentos para Medardo Fraile y otros críticos de nuestro país) con el periodismo, unas bodas de oro que son la mejor ocasión para recopilar en este volumen sus artículos periodísticos.
Angelina Lamelas nace en Santander el 23 de octubre de 1935. Descubre pronto su facilidad para fabular y vive una infancia feliz, rodeada de sus nueve hermanos y frente a la bahía, buen punto de partida para cualquier sueño. Cursa estudios de Magisterio y en 1957 viaja a Madrid, donde estudiará la carrera de Periodismo. En 1962 comienza a publicar artículos literarios en el diario YA y en la Agencia LOGOS. En 1971 gana la Hucha de Oro de Cuentos (ex aequo con el escritor Medardo Fraile) y publica su primer libro de relatos, "El cachorro". Luego le seguirán: "Un sombrero en el zaguán y otros relatos" y "A dos manos", los poemarios "Recital de lluvia", "El arco del violín" y "El cuarto de jugar" (recopilados en el volumen "Cuentos de la vida casi entera"); y es autora de varios libros infantiles de la editorial PALABRA: "Dika mete la pata", "Dika en Nueva York", "Un secreto en altamar", "Un osito en la basura" y "Tato, el fantasma que perdió su sábana". Recibe prestigiosos premios literarios: "Clarín" de cuentos, de la Asociación de Escritores y Artistas, "UNED" de Narraciones Breves, "Alfonso Martínez-Mena" de Cuentos...
