About the Author
David N. Calvillo, a former adjunct law and university professor, is now a practicing civil trial lawyer and bilingual mediator with the Calvillo Law Firm. After a profound spiritual experience praying the rosary while on retreat, Calvillo and his wife Valerie founded Real Men Pray the Rosary, launching a global movement of prayer and devotion. Calvillo is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and has served his parishes on pastoral and finance councils and as Eucharistic minister and lector. Calvillo formerly served in leadership of his diocesan chapter of ACTS Catholic retreats and remains active in the organization. He served his community as president of the Boys & Girls Club of McAllen and lives in southern Texas with his wife and their seven children.

Real men really do pray the Rosary!

As Catholic men, we are called to be the leaders of our families. We are called to pray for them, as well as our communities. What better way than to meditate on the mysteries of the Rosary? David Calvillo gives us the perfect road map to follow as we journey through the beautiful and rich prayers of the Rosary. This book is an easy read packed full of personal stories, Scriptural references, and Papal writings on the Rosary, not to mention a plan to get you started, a little at a time. It takes you from one decade to five in a short time, and then the author issues you a challenge of praying the Rosary for 33 days. One day for each of the 33 years that Christ was here on Earth. I, along with a group of men at my parish accepted that challenge. I am hearing from them almost daily at how much their lives have been blessed in just a short amount of time by using this powerful set of prayers. Thank you to David Calvillo for not only hearing the call to write this book, but for saying yes to the book, and this Apostolate. Real men really do pray the Rosary!

Jumpstart Your Prayer Life

"Real Men Pray The Rosary" is a wonderful book about the rosary and how the rosary can change your life. I know the rosary was vital in my return to the faith, and Mary will lead you to Jesus. I Have been praying the rosary on a regular basis for bout fifteen years but the stories in the book on conversions inspire me to grow in my love and devotion to the rosary as a man of Christ. I liked how Saint Louis de Montfort played such an important part in the authors coming closer to Mary,the Saint also had an impact on my coming to Jesus through Mary. Highly recommended for those new to the rosary or for those of us who are inspired to pray better. Moving to McAllen soon and looking forward to taking part in an ACTS retreat.

I ordered this book pre-publication as its theme caught my eye. David Calvillo has done a super job in articulating what the Rosary is about and how it can help one's quest for a more intimate relationship with our Lord. I recommend this to any man or woman seeking a more intimate relationship. I also HIGHLY recommend stepping up to the 33-day challenge - start it any time and continue for 33 days. Being faithful to this challenge will only increase your faithfulness to the Lord. Blessings and Peace!
